President's message: Congratulating the Class of 2020
As we head into the final stretch of the semester, enjoy the fruits of your labor by celebrating the achievements of more than 6,400 graduates who will obtain their degree next week, after years of dedicated studies and perseverance in the face of often daunting challenges, especially this semester! This is why we do what all we do, to empower our students to lead as they finish their college careers.
Learn more about the students selected as Undergraduate Deans’ Medalists and Graduate Deans’ Medalists. (From those 18, two students will be selected as the University’s top academic honorees, the President’s Medalist and the University Graduate Medalist. Those recipients will be announced on Friday, May 15.)
Also, read about the 12 faculty members honored with Provost’s Awards, with the top award for Excellence in Teaching going to Dr. Dave Goorahoo, professor of plant science.
While we will have to wait until it is safe to celebrate in a traditional in-person commencement ceremony, we hope you will join your colleagues and friends in wishing our graduates well in their future endeavors.
