An estimated 1,000 young students and their families attended the College of Science and Mathematics Science Carnivale on Feb. 28. The carnival presented over 30 science demonstrations and activities for K-12 students, plus special shows at the Downing Planetarium.

A part of the college's outreach efforts, the Science Carnivale was created to attract young students to study science and pursue scientific careers. Representatives from Fresno State Recruitment and Special Programs and Bulldog Bound presented information to parents about admission to Fresno State. The College of Science and Mathematics will launch its next Science Carnivale in spring 2027.
