Lisa Bell has accepted the position of executive director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, effective April 1.
Bell brings more than 30 years of experience in communications, journalism and higher education to the role, including nearly a decade of service to Fresno State. She currently serves as the university's media relations specialist, leading media relations and assisting with crisis communications.
A Fresno State alumna, Bell earned her Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a news-editorial focus. She previously spent nearly two decades at The Fresno Bee, where she served as associate editor of the Opinion Pages and received a Best Editorial Award from the California Newspaper Publishers Association.
Bell succeeds Pamela Dyer, who will retire on April 30. During her time as executive director, Dyer oversaw a remarkable 31% increase in membership and introduced innovative new programming. The OLLI membership and Continuing and Global Education team extend our sincerest gratitude to Dyer for her lasting contributions to OLLI.
