At Fresno State, we are committed to fostering a campus community that values and embraces Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) in all aspects of university life. As part of this commitment, Dr. Rashanda Booker, our University Diversity Officer, has spearheaded the creation and relaunch of equity councils within the Division of Equity and Engagement.
The Division of Equity and Engagement Equity Councils serve as vital platforms for ensuring that the voices of all Fresno State constituents are heard in the ongoing efforts to scaffold and strengthen our new division. These councils bring together a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members to provide valuable insights, perspectives, and recommendations on matters related to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging. Applications for each council will open on Monday, March 4 and close on Monday, March 25 at 5 p.m. Selected members will be announced on Thursday, April 25, at the Division of Equity and Engagement Spring Town Hall.
Council on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (CEDI)
The Council on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (CEDI) is tasked to increase and support Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) as an institutional priority and be willing to implement processes and exhibit behaviors necessary for attaining the goals outlined. All currently
employed Fresno State faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to apply for consideration.
