The Cross Cultural and Gender Center and the College Assistance Migrant Program are very excited to invite you all to our annual Cesar Chavez Commemoration and Celebration this year. With COVID-19 restrictions impeding an in-person celebration the last two years, we are looking forward to our in-person celebration this year. We are happy to announce that this year's keynote speaker will be Teresa Romero, president for United Farm Workers National headquarters.
Join us in person and take advantage of free tacos, paletas (ice cream), pan dulce, entertainment and informational tables. We’ll be honoring Cesar Chavez with a garlanding ceremony led by Professor Emeritus Dr. Sudarshan Kapoor accompanied by President Saúl Jiménez Sandoval.
Date: Thursday, March 24
Time: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Location: Peace Garden
Special thanks to Mu Chi Omega, Beta Gamma Nu and ASI for helping us make this event happen.
All participants are welcome. If you need special accommodations call the Cross Cultural and Gender Center at 559.278.4435 or email ccgclatino.a@mail.fresnostate.edu by March 21.
