Dear fellow faculty and staff,
Every day, you put students first. That’s because we know that when our students succeed in and out of the classroom, we have succeeded.
Today, we invite you to support students by making a gift.
You’ve heard about the efforts we have taken to remove barriers so students can focus on their academic goals. One of these is addressing a growing issue on college campuses: food insecurity.
Nearly one in three Fresno State students do not know where their next meal is coming from. The Fresno State Student Cupboard, a free food and hygiene pantry for current students, is visited by more than 3,300 students each month, totaling 15,720 visits within the past year. When the families of those students are factored in, more than 48,000 individuals benefit from this important service.
This month, your gift to the Student Cupboard will be doubled, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $50,000, through our March Match Up campaign. We have our friends at Moss Adams LLP and Kaiser Permanente Northern California Community Benefit Programs to thank for that.
Our goal is to reach $50,000, ensuring a total of $100,000 for the Student Cupboard. That's enough to support the cupboard for another great year.
Whether it’s breaking the cycle of food insecurity, supporting student initiatives, or investing in academic programs, gifts of all sizes play a crucial role in educating and empowering all students for success.
We invite you to align your passion with areas in need of support at Fresno State.
- Give now to the Student Cupboard through March Match Up
- Support a cause that aligns with your passion
- Apply for automatic payroll deductions
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for dedicating your energy to boldly educate and empower students for success at Fresno State. You play a critical role, and for that, we are immensely grateful.
Sincerely,
Sarah Lam
