All are invited to an open conversation addressing the rise in anti-Asian hate incidents. Hear from Cynthia Choi, co-executive director of Chinese for Affirmative Action, about her work with the Stop AAPI Hate reporting center, which tracks and responds to incidents of hate, violence and discrimination against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.
This event is part of a series of listening sessions hosted by the Asian Faculty and Staff Association during the month of March. At this session, participants will gain strategies and resources to serve as allies for the AAPI and Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) communities. Advocating for policies that advance civil rights for AAPIs will also be discussed. Fresno State students, faculty, and staff — as well as community members — are invited to this free, public event.
