After 16 wonderful years, the Student Health and Counseling Center would like to extend deep appreciation and gratitude to Mark Facchini, PharmD, who served as the pharmacist-in-charge, and wish him well as he enters retirement.
Mark made a lasting impact through key initiatives and leadership at the health center. He was instrumental in launching the Wellness Vending Machine and introducing children's health products to support student parents. As the pharmacist-in-charge, he successfully led five Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accreditations and chaired the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for 16 years. He was a trusted expert on CDC guidelines and pharmacy regulations. Notably, he played a major role in the construction and startup of the new pharmacy, transitioning from a mailroom setup, and helped implement and maintain essential pharmacy software systems (ProPharm and Point N Click).
"Mark has been an invaluable part of the Student Health and Counseling Center," said Dr. Janell Morillo, associate vice president of the Student Health and Counseling Center. "His many years of dedicated service, paired with his warmth and sense of humor, have left a lasting impact not only on our team, but on the countless students who have relied on the pharmacy each day. We are deeply grateful for all that Mark has contributed to our campus community. On behalf of the entire center, I want to extend my sincere thanks for his 16 years of service. We wish him all the best as he embarks on his next chapter, and hope it brings him as much fulfillment and joy as he brought to his work here."
The Student Health and Counseling Center invites the campus community to join them in celebrating Mark as he enters a new chapter — retirement.
