After 25 years of dedicated service to Fresno State, Katha Brassfield will retire this summer.
Katha joined Fresno State in December 2000 and has been a highly valued and collaborative member of the campus community ever since. Known for her willingness to help others, solve problems and share her knowledge, she has made a lasting impact on colleagues across the University.
Throughout her career, Katha served in several roles across campus. She began in the Department of Mass Communications and Journalism, now known as the Department of Media, Communications and Journalism, before moving to the Division of Continuing and Global Education. Katha began her service in the Provost's Office in 2014. She served as the executive assistant to Dr. Lynnette Zelezny, Dr. Robert Harper (interim provost), Dr. Saul Jimenez-Sandoval and will finish her career with Dr. Xuanning Fu, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs.

In retirement, Katha looks forward to spending more time with her family and enjoying one of her favorite pastimes, playing pickleball.
