Mayra Aceves, Lyles College of Engineering
Mayra played a pivotal role in the success of the 46th Annual Chicano\Latino Commencement Celebration. She sacrificed her lunch hour and evenings in service to CLCC. Moreover, in addition to dedicating hours of evening rehearsals to perform with Los Danzantes de Aztlán, she remained after the performance to assist with the management and organization of the graduates during the procession. Cory has worked above and beyond her normal work duties. Our department has been short of staff for a while now and have been without an administrative assistant for over a year. We all share in the department administrative duties but for the past few weeks, Cory has covered a ton of the administrative work even though her plate has been full. Cory Cowan, Office of Institutional Effectiveness
Through various departmental changes in which the Office of Institutional Effectiveness has become understaffed, Cory has been an invaluable key player in keeping up with the number of requests coming into the office. She has been able to take on other roles in addition to her specified job to ensure that the office continues to function in a timely manner. She is an overall amazing person and a joy to work with!

Dr. Yolanda Doub, Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures
Dr. Doub continues to be a valuable member of the Chicano\Latino Commencement Celebration team. Every year since 2016, she has volunteered her time to translate speeches and proclamations from English to Spanish. In addition, she utilizes her bilingual skills to flawlessly switch from English to Spanish as one of the Masters of Ceremony, ensuring that the thousands of families and friends in attendance grasp the event's significance. Despite managing all the responsibilities of being the Director of Outreach and Special Programs, Martina sacrificed her lunch hour and evenings to assist with the various elements of the 46th Annual Chicano\Latino Commencement Celebration. For example, she helped with the sash and medal distribution on two different days during her lunch hour and beyond. In addition, she spent hours participating in the CLCC rehearsal after work and then sacrificed an entire Saturday evening to assist with the actual event. Rich attended a send-off event at Allan Hancock College. Rich has taken the leadership to serve that community college since he joined our office. Rich attended the event to represent Fresno State as we will be welcoming many of their students for fall 2022.
