High Fives are easy to give — simply go to the High Five website on the Organizational Excellence webpage, click “Give a High Five” and fill out the form to send kudos to anyone on campus. Goes Above & Beyond
Holly Head, Office of the University Registrar
Holly is incredibly thorough in her research in her quest to encode transfer course work to help our incoming transfer students. I appreciate Holly's dedication to supporting Fresno State staff, and her willingness to answer questions and provide excellent support. Holly has been working very hard to ensure that all of our transfer students will have access to a useful DPR by the time they attend their virtual Dog Days orientation. I appreciate all of Holly's hard work!
Sam Porraz, Office of the University Registrar
One of Sam's strengths is working to solve puzzles, and he performs this task in the transfer credit regularly. Sam is very responsive to staff and faculty questions and issues regarding the encoding of requirements in the Degree Progress Reports. Sam has been working diligently alongside departments to make sure that their requirements are encoded successfully for accurate DPRs. This is Sam's first year encoding degree programs on his own, and he is poised to complete this task earlier than anticipated. Sam pushes through even the most complicated coding issues and finds a way to make it work.
Anna Andalon, Accounting
I had submitted a direct pay for a payment to catering back in December. I received a past due notice showing that payment was not received. Anna went above and beyond to process the paper work to get catering paid before the end of the fiscal year. Thank you Anna, your hard work is greatly appreciated!
Martina Granados, Outreach and Special Programs
Martina Granados works above and beyond. During this COVID-19, Martina has been fundamental in providing guidance for the Outreach and Special Programs directors and staff. I appreciate the support she constantly provides me as she gives me the support and tools to lead my program with confidence. Martina is flexible and is willing to work long hours to ensure she provides the special program directors quality support. Four of the five directors have less than a year in their position therefore having Martina’s support is key to the success of our programs.
Gayle Sherwood, Research and Graduate Studies
Gayle recently helped us to submit a $3 million proposal with a short turnaround time. We have worked with her on a number of proposals in the past and she is always really enthusiastic, professional, knowledgeable, flexible and enjoyable to work with. Her work was outstanding and she supported us throughout the process.

Saved My Bacon!
Evangelina Morris, Foundation Financial Services
Evangelina has been extremely helpful and has a great attitude. She has been providing my program with the accounting information we have requested to ensure we submit our FY 2020-21 budget in a timely manner. Although this is not the area she typically works with she has taken the challenge to learn and at the same time she is providing support to one of her coworkers who has been out of the office. Thank you Evangelina and keep up the great attitude, you deserve two High Fives!
