Fresno State is committed to providing a safe environment for our students, faculty and staff. Senate Bill 553 requires employers to have a Workplace Violence Prevention program by July 1, 2024.

A key element of this program is to provide employee training. The Chancellor’s Office has developed an online training to meet this requirement which will be assigned to all staff and managers from CSU Learn in early July. A second phase of assigned training will be offered to faculty at the start of the fall 2024 semester.

Going forward, training is required annually and will take place in April of each year.
