We are pleased to share that after a nationwide search, Anne Githae has been appointed as the assistant vice president for compliance and civil rights. Anne will start her new role with us on July 8.
As previously shared, this inaugural position is one of the priorities recommended by the campus Title IX Implementation Team to move forward in addressing the Cozen O’Connor Assessment Report’s key observations regarding improvements in the Title IX/DHR process. Housed in USU 316, the Office of Compliance and Civil Rights is a new office that brings together the Office of Title IX and DHR.

Anne has led high-performing teams, provided guidance to senior leadership on matters related to equity, campus culture and climate, led the development and creation of new infrastructure and teams, and implemented education and training opportunities. She previously served at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso as the managing director of human resources, as a human resources consultant at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and as a staff attorney at Thomson Reuters.
