The Fresno State Police Department would like to remind the campus community of the following safety information:
- Always be aware of your surroundings
- Report suspicious activity immediately to the Police Department
- Do not leave items in plain view in your vehicle, put them in the trunk, and lock your doors
For emergencies, dial 9-1-1 from any phone, provide your location and information regarding the emergency so that public safety personnel can respond quickly.
To contact Campus Police, call 559.278.8400 from your cell phone or 8-8400 from your desk phone.
As a reminder, please review the campus notification protocols on the Emergency Preparation website.
To ensure you receive the Bulldog Alert text communication, please confirm that your mobile phone number is listed in your MyFresnoState portal. Click Employee Self Service then Personal Information to view your contact information.
We also want the campus community to know about the Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation (CARE) Team. The CARE team provides a collaborative approach for coordinating a supportive response to students who may be at-risk or in distress. Student referrals can be made through a secure online form found here or on this website.
Below is a list of observed behaviors that should be referred to the CARE Team:
- Disruptive behavior and does not stop when instructed to do so
- Engages in behavior that causes you or others to be concerned for safety (e.g. yelling, intimidation, name-calling)
- Threatens to harm him/herself or others
- Writes about committing violent acts
- Consistently angry or depressed
If you would like to coordinate safety training for your department, please contact Amy Luna, manager of Emergency Operations and Business Continuity at amyluna@csufresno.edu or 559.278.6875.
You may also contact your department safety coordinator to discuss any specific safety plans or concerns for your department/office.
