As the Academic Success Coaching assistant coordinator, Chavez supports our Academic Success Coaching team with student staff development, coordinates faculty and staff referrals and provides holistic coaching to our students.
Stephanie Izaguirre, Supplemental Instruction specialist, earned a bachelor's in business management and a master's in Student Affairs and College Counseling from Fresno State. SupportNet is now called Academic Success Coaching
Starting fall 2022, the SupportNet program will transition to a new name — Academic Success Coaching to better align with services provided to students.
Academic Success Coaching will continue to provide one-on-one holistic support to students that focus on study strategies (time management, goal planning, test taking, etc.) while also offering in-person and virtual Academic Success Workshops. Our team will serve all students on campus with a focus on first-time freshmen on probation and referrals from faculty and staff. Students will be able to work with certified academic coaches as they navigate their college experience at Fresno State. For more information, visit www.fresnostate.edu/asc.
