In March 2020 we were pleased to announce the launch of the Digital Housing Data Repository, a new data resource and platform housed in the Henry Madden Library. The repository is a collection of Fresno County housing and neighborhood data contributed by researchers and community partners. Types of data include ready-to-use datasets, maps, reports, and much more. The repository has several goals. The primary goal is to provide the tools needed to understand housing and neighborhood inequality in Fresno County in order to identify the issues that need to be addressed to affirmatively further fair housing in our communities. Another important goal, though, is to connect Fresno State faculty and students to community partners to work together to conduct research that aligns with our dual missions of scholarship and service.
We are entering the pilot phase of the Digital Housing Data Repository and would like to know what interests you, the faculty, have in using the repository. If you do any research on housing or neighborhoods and have collected or analyzed data for Fresno County, we encourage you to consider housing your data, reports, and publications in the repository. Topics can include housing affordability and stability, health outcomes, educational outcomes, the built environment, environmental exposures, etc. We also encourage you to imagine future projects and student learning opportunities that are possible through this resource, in partnership with the community.
Fill out this survey if you have any interest in using and/or contributing to the repository: forms.gle/n62Q26M9RHSW2tqq8
