Welcome two new leaders to campus, and save the date for the Spring Assembly
As we stand at the hopeful dawn of a new year, I am filled with excitement and gratitude for all that we have accomplished together and all that we will achieve in the year ahead.
While 2022 had its share of challenges, through your hard work, resilience, and dedication, we have both survived and thrived brightly. I am deeply grateful to all your efforts that promote the success of our students; you are a key element in providing exceptional education and support to our future leaders.
Looking forward, I am filled with hope and optimism for 2023. I am thrilled that we have two outstanding new leaders who have officially joined my leadership team. I would like to extend the warmest welcome to both Dr. Rashanda Booker, our new university diversity officer, and Dr. Kent L. Willis, our new vice president for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. They join Fresno State with an impressive wealth of knowledge and expertise in their respective fields. I am confident that they will grow deep roots in our Valley and take our university to extraordinary new heights of excellence.
Please join me on Jan. 18 at 9 a.m. for the Spring Assembly, at the Resnick Student Union, where I will share with you many exciting initiatives for 2023 and celebrate our collective accomplishments.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2023!
In gratitude,
Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval, Ph.D.
President
