The Learning Center has been approved for Level III Master Certified Tutor certification through the International Tutor Training Program Certification by the College Reading & Learning Association, announced Tosha Giuffrida, director.

Level III certification requires extensive training on learning theory, group management skills, and other learning-centered approaches. The tutors receive an immersed experience in tutoring skills and a better understanding of learning and memory. Tutors are now able to obtain Levels I - III certification through the Learning Center.

Giuffrida said special recognition goes to William Hardaway, who has developed and implemented a very extensive tutor training program within the Learning Center.

“His focus is to provide our student tutors with crossover skills to be used after graduation. We frequently hear from previous tutors how the training received by the Learning Center has greatly helped them as professionals.”
