On Feb. 2, CineCulture will present Columbus, with producer Andrew Miano as the discussant. The screening is sponsored by Darden Architects.

With its naturalistic rhythms and empathy for the complexities of families, Korean director Kogonada's debut film unfolds as a gently drifting, deeply absorbing conversation. In English and Korean with English subtitles, the film is an hour and 44 minutes.

CineCulture is a film series provided as a service to Fresno State students, faculty, staff and the community. CineCulture is also offered as a three-unit academic course (MCJ 179) in the Media, Communications and Journalism Department.

Most CineCulture screenings are at 5:30 p.m. on Fridays during the spring semester in the Peters Education Center Auditorium (5010 N. Woodrow Ave.) in the Student Recreation Center. Some screenings are held with Fresno Filmworks at Tower Theatre (815 E. Olive Ave.).

Fresno State encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. All films screened on campus are free and open to the public. Parking is not enforced after 4 p.m. on Fridays.
