This spring, employees are invited to read, reflect and engage in meaningful conversation together.
Join the Spring Book Club, open to all employees, designed to encourage reading, provide a platform for sharing thoughts and insights and foster a sense of community among members.
This spring’s reading selection is "Sexual Citizens" by Jennifer S. Hirsch and Shamus Khan. Bold and thought-provoking, "Sexual Citizens" explores real-life stories and research behind campus sexual culture, challenging traditional “good vs. bad” narratives and examining how power, identity and environment shape consent and connection.
"Sexual Citizens" invites readers to ask deeper questions about safety, power and responsibility in sexual situations, and how institutions and communities can move from reaction to prevention by building environments rooted in care, respect and belonging. The Spring Book Club will offer a brave and engaging space for thoughtful dialogue, reflection and collective learning, stretching perspectives and inspiring meaningful change.
This book club is a collaborative effort between Human Resources Organizational Development and Survivor Advocacy Services.
The first 20 participants to register will receive a free copy of the book, with the expectation that they attend at least three sessions.
