The Bulldog Foundation is shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of our friend and colleague Russell Hayden. He was a great family man loved by his wife, Michelle, who is a teacher at University High School, and his two daughters, Samantha, 8, and Madeline, 6. He found great joy over the last nine months working from home where he was able to spend more time with his daughters, assisting them with their schooling.

Over his many years in college athletics, he established and maintained many friendships across the country. He was greatly appreciated by the young people he supervised and mentored as the director of ticket operations at Fresno State. He was also greatly valued by all the Bulldog staff and coaches he worked with on a daily basis. His great value to his colleagues was found in his strong work ethic, his personal integrity, his knowledge and skill, his easy going personality and sense of humor.
