Works Above and Beyond
Kristo Bocanegra, Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Kristo is a very hardworking individual. When I asked for help with the printer, he assisted me immediately with a smile. Later, when I approached him with questions about the program, he was professional and respectful, taking the time to explain all the available options. I have also seen him help other students with the same passion and enthusiasm, which is a rare and impressive quality.
Robert Escamilla, Technology Services
Robert went above and beyond in addressing the printer request. We greatly appreciate his attention to detail and his thorough follow-up in support of an important university process.
Ashley Holmes, Craig School of Business - Graduate Business Programs
I initially approached Ashley to ask for a pen, and she was very respectful. When I returned later to request wipes for an injury, she provided them immediately and offered further assistance. Her dedication and eagerness to help are commendable.
Luz Mendoza, California Agricultural Technology Institute
Luz never fails to go above and beyond to make Jordan College a better place. Her kindness and innovative ideas contribute to the advancement of the college and the Agricultural Industry as a whole. Most recently, she has created a virtual farm tour that will promote agricultural literacy and the Fresno State Farm as a whole. Her efforts increase awareness of Fresno State's Agriculture Program in our community and benefit our students. Way to go, Luz. Thank you for all you do!
Luz Mendoza, California Agricultural Technology Institute
Luz Mendoza always works tirelessly to do her best when facing each new challenge presented to her. I am certain everyone who has the pleasure of working with her holds her in the highest regard. Most recently, Luz has created a virtual farm tour of the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology farming areas using ArcGIS StoryMaps. The tour is currently in beta testing mode and is available to individuals with a Fresno State email address. It can be accessed on both desktop and mobile devices. This first-of-its-kind virtual tour for our farm utilizes geolocation features with links to information concerning your location or point of interest. Be on the lookout for this exciting new feature, and be sure to tell Luz, "Great Job!" when you see her!
Jayne Ramirez, Undergraduate Studies
I would like to recognize and thank Jayne for consistently running specific reports for my team and me. She always turns them around quickly, and her positive, helpful attitude makes collaborating an absolute pleasure. I really appreciate her reliability and the kindness she brings to every interaction.
Provides Excellent Customer Service
Matt Montez, Library – Shipping and Receiving
Matt consistently cares for the library building with consistent and quality work every day. But more than that, Matt takes equally excellent care of library people with integrity, humility and a willingness to be helpful. His steady manner and proactive nature help keep library administrative services humming, and his keen eye supports the safety and well-being of everyone in the building. Matt is equally willing to cover early mornings so students can study for finals, as well as assist our public safety and circulation staff to manage disruptive patrons. He always has safety, service, and quality work in mind and delivers with a smile and a kind word. Matt may just be the steady center that keeps the library's heart beating!
