This award presents an exciting opportunity to recognize the innovative, equity-driven, and student-centered work taking place across our campus. We encourage you to consider nominating a staff member or team whose impact deserves to be celebrated at the systemwide level.

All employees are invited to nominate a current State or Auxiliary staff member in good standing, provided their accomplishments occurred after January 1, 2025. Preference will be given to represented employees.

Nominations must be submitted online by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30 using the campus nomination form linked here. Each nomination must include a single PDF that clearly demonstrates the nominee’s impact in one of the four award categories:

• Affordability Advocate and Driver of Transformative Change,
• Fostering an Inclusive and Equitable Learning Environment,
• First Generation Belonging and Community, or
• Trailblazing Team.

The narrative may include a letter of support from the nominator and additional documentation to corroborate the nominee’s impact, such as additional letters of support, Campus News or other campus publications, and feedback, testimonials, or data demonstrating outcomes and impact. All materials must be combined into this single PDF and should total no more than seven pages, including any additional documentation.

To support nominators, Fresno State has developed a Narrative Guide, linked here, to help ensure all requested elements are addressed. Use of the guide is optional.

A campus review committee will evaluate all nominations and advance no more than two nominations per award category for consideration by the President and final submission to the Chancellor’s Office.

Award recipients selected by the CSU will receive a $25,000 cash award (subject to applicable taxes). Team awards will share the $25,000 among up to five members.
