The 2024 Fresno State Violin and Viola Festival will take place from March 1-2 at the Fresno State Department of Music, featuring the world renowned guest artists, violinist Martin Beaver, and violist, Hartmut Rohde. The festival will include master classes by the guest artists, a violin and viola ensemble, and two wonderful concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings.
On Friday, March 1 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. the guest artists will join the faculty members, Dr. Limor Toren-Immerman, Dr. Thomas Loewenheim, and Dr. Peter Klimo, for an evening of some of the music beautiful chamber music for strings and piano: Brahms, Piano Quartet No. 3 in C major, Op. 60, Turina, Piano Quartet in A minor, Op.67, and Schumann, Piano Quintet in E-flat major, Op. 44.
On Saturday, March 2 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. the Fresno State Symphony Orchestra will collaborate with the 2024 Fresno State Violin and Viola Festival for a mega concert featuring the world renowned guest artists, violinist Martin Beaver, and violist, Hartmut Rohde.
The concerts will take place at the Department of Music Concert Hall and will start at 7:30 p.m. tickets are available online or at the door.
