Kathleen S. Rindahl (Nursing) is one of 11 nursing professionals in the state who will be recognized during the Association of California Nurse Leaders 40th annual conference Feb. 4-7 in Monterey.
The 1,400-member organization gives the awards to honor leaders who go above and beyond in promoting industry excellence, innovation and lifelong learning
Rindahl, honored in the “Excellence in Professional Education” category, arranged to borrow a mobile clinic unit from the Fresno County Office of Education for her community health class that has been successful in providing care to underserved areas in the Valley.
She is a former corpsman in the U.S. Navy, and is classified as Petty Officer Third Class.
Michael Coles (Kinesiology) assisted with the initial performance testing of the new Fresno professional soccer team, the Fresno Football Club, which is gearing up for their home opener March 17 against the Las Vegas Lights at Chukchansi Park.
Cassandra Joubert (Central California Children’s Institute) will present her abstract “Shifting Multidisciplinary Infant Mental Health Teams from Monoculturalism to Pluralism” at the 16th World Association for Infant Mental Health Congress in Rome this coming May.
Kammi Sayaseng (Nursing) had the article she co-authored "Pathophysiology and Management of Mild to Moderate Pediatric Atopic Dermatitus” published in the Journal of Pediatric Health Care.
Kristen Synman (Kinesiology) was made senior associate editor of the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
