The Provost’s Awards were established in 1993 because outstanding teaching, research and service are central to the mission of Fresno State. Nominations are now being accepted for the Provost's Awards for the 2024-25 academic year. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to submit nominations in the following six categories:

• Excellence in Teaching
• Faculty Service
• Distinguished Achievement in Research, Scholarship, or Creative Accomplishment
• Promising New Faculty
• Outstanding Lecturer
• Outstanding Staff
