International Coffee Hour will continue virtually in spring 2021 from 4 to 5 p.m. every Tuesday via Zoom starting in February. If you have ever attended a Coffee Hour on campus, you may have heard and shared some great experiences. Now, it’s time to think about what makes your country or culture special. Is it the landscape, historical landmarks, events, music, talent or popular dishes? We would love you, your department and students to please consider presenting during Coffee Hour this semester. We hope you will encourage your students to join us as we explore the globe this semester.
Remember, each week International Coffee Hour invites presenters to speak about their culture, study abroad or international service-learning experiences. It provides a venue to highlight the diversity and a wide range of cultures represented at Fresno State while providing students with opportunities for cross-cultural engagement. Coffee Hour shares a truly global perspective for both Fresno State and the local Fresno community. It provides an opportunity to share international experiences, highlight campus resources and programs while enriching the classroom experience. Coffee Hour engages students in presentations, competitions, panel discussions, and cultural performances in a welcoming environment where they can meet people from around the globe, enjoy and engage in cross-cultural learning.
The number of presentation slots are limited so please let us know if you are interested in presenting as early as possible to ensure you are registered with Marcela Magdaleno at marcela@mail.fresnostate.edu. The February schedule will be available on our website soon, so check our website for updates and past presentations.
