Black History Month is here. We are celebrating with a calendar full of exciting events. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Keynote speaker Angelica McKinley shares insights about her unconventional journey in visual storytelling starting with her childhood love of art and history to eventually being an art director and designer working with Google Doodles, Apple, The New York Times and more. In this conversation, McKinley will talk about how she navigated the hurdles of her career and how she translated many of her non-traditional strengths into skills that businesses value.

Let's get real about mental health

It's time to get real about mental health. “Real Talk,” is part of a new discussion series. Lead by counselor Zafar Sumler, of the Student Health and Counseling Center, a “Real Talk” guided discussion will discuss stigmas, barriers and solutions surrounding mental health. Closing the discussion, he will be share tips for practicing self-care.

Community, connections and conversation are the heart of the African American Programs and Services discussion group, Sistah to Sistah. Designed to provide a safe space for Black and African American women, Sistah to Sistah meets weekly on Wednesdays to engage in conversations centered around relevant and current topics.
