For the past 60-plus years, United Way’s Our Promise campaign has been bringing together state employee donors, volunteers and nonprofits to care for California communities and causes.
Nearly 300,000 state employees support charitable programs through the Our Promise annual campaign. I am proud of Fresno State faculty and staff who, in 2019, raised $23,000 to support our neighboring communities. This year, the campaign is virtual, and it is easier to give than ever before.
If you are currently giving to Our Promise, your payroll deduction will continue, and all proceeds will benefit the organization you selected previously.
Another way for both state and Foundation employees to support our community is by donating to United Way’s Creek Fire Relief Fund. You may contribute online at bit.ly/creekfirerelief, to make an immediate difference.
The University’s United Way contact is Nancy Meza. If you have questions about the campaign, please contact her at nmeza@uwfm.org or 559.280.5226.
