Eleanor Uribe, part-time lecturer, Department of Social Work Education's Title IV-E Program, was appointed by Gov. Gavin Newsom to the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, where she serves on the Licensing Committee. The mission of the board is to protect and serve Californians by setting, communicating, and enforcing standards for safe and competent mental health practice. She attended her first board meeting in November and was sworn in by Assemblyman Jim Patterson.
Marie Gilbert, director, Central California Center for Excellence in Nursing, was elected to the Board of Directors for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. The purpose of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare is to serve a global community of practice enhancing the quality of healthcare.

Dr. Rohan Jadhav, assistant professor, Department of Public Health, and Soumyasanta Laha, assistant professor in the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering, co-authored "A Concise and Systematic Review on Non-Invasive Glucose Monitoring for Potential Diabetes Management", published in the November 2022 issue of Biosensors Journal.
Dr. Scott Sailor, professor, Department of Kinesiology, was elected to the board of directors for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Research and Education Foundation, with his term beginning in June 2023. The mission of NATA is to represent, engage and foster the continued growth and development of the athletic training profession and athletic trainers as unique health care providers.
