Clara Escamilla, lecturer in the Department of Public Health, is continuing her annual holiday card project — a yearlong effort that results in thousands of personal handwritten cards being distributed each holiday season to senior citizens, first responders (including the Fresno State Police Department) and military members, including those with Blue Star Moms.
Escamilla works with various student groups and staff members to make this effort come to life each year and credits the success of the project on the generosity of the campus and local community. Last year, more than 2,100 cards were distributed. To get involved or to donate cards, email cescamilla@csufresno.edu.
Congrats to Rudy Sanchez, interim associate vice president, Academic and Institutional Effectiveness, for being named the Directors of Educational Technology California Higher Education member of the year
