The Campus Preparedness Team is seeking feedback on the draft Time, Place and Manner of Free Expression Policy.
This policy will replace the current Interim Policy that has been in effect since 2015. The format and content of the revised policy will help to facilitate the use of campus property by providing guidelines on the use of facilities for campus departments, student organizations, and off-campus groups. The policy provides guidance as to when, where and how (time, place and manner) to display or distribute published materials, chalking, posting and signage, distribution of printed materials, allowable levels of amplified sound, non-commercial and commercial solicitation and commercial transactions. Also included in the policy are resources for how to schedule space and equipment, and personnel required to support various events including assemblies, marches, and demonstrations.
The draft policy has been reviewed by the Campus Preparedness Committee and consultation with various campus constituent groups has occurred this semester. A copy of the draft policy and the Feedback Form can be found on the Public Safety website fresnostate.edu/adminserv/police.
We would appreciate you sharing any feedback by Friday, Dec. 21.
If you have any questions regarding this policy or the process by which to provide feedback, please contact Amy Luna, Campus Emergency Preparedness Manager, at amyluna@csufresno.edu or 559.278.6875.
