As we reach the final weeks of the fall semester and 2025, I want to pause and express my heartfelt gratitude for all you have done for our students, our campus, and our Valley.
The work you do, often quietly, often behind the scenes, creates the environment where our students feel supported, seen, and inspired. Whether you taught a first-year course, led a research project, helped a student navigate a challenge, or kept our daily operations running smoothly, your contributions made a real and lasting difference.
It was also wonderful to share lunch with so many of you at our recent appreciation event. Those moments of connection remind me how meaningful it is to gather as a community—and I have to admit, seeing so many of you enjoy the Pasta Primavera (a personal favorite of mine!) made the afternoon even more special.
2025 was filled with meaningful progress. Together, we advanced key goals tied to our WASC reaffirmation. We strengthened hands-on, high-impact learning experiences. We deepened our commitment to student belonging. And through it all, the Pride of the Valley continued to shine through your work and through the spirit of our university.
Thank you for bringing your heart to this work. Thank you for showing up for our students and for one another. And thank you for the generosity of spirit that defines our Fresno State.
Ever Grateful,
Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval, Ph.D.
