This September, we encourage our campus community to learn more about the Parent Scholar experience, recognize the dedication it takes to earn a degree while raising a family, and consider how each of us can help create a campus where student parents and their children feel welcomed, supported and valued.
With an estimated 1 in 5 college students being student parents, we recognize the unique challenges our Parent Scholars face: balancing school, work and parenting responsibilities; managing the cost of education; finding reliable childcare; and finding a supportive community. We know that being a parent and a student takes incredible dedication. Their determination inspires us every day!
