As we are progressing through our fall 2026 semester, we are writing to provide an update on the continued evolution of the DISCOVERe Mobile Technology Program.
Since its launch in 2014, DISCOVERe has helped expand access to academic technology and supported innovative teaching and learning across Fresno State. Over the past decade, student technology needs, instructional tools and campus support models have continued to evolve. In response, DISCOVERe is transitioning from a primarily iPad-loan model to a broader academic technology support model focused on emerging tools, digital learning support, accessibility and student success.
As part of this transition, the iPad Loaner Program is being phased down. A limited number of devices may remain available while inventory allows and while devices continue to meet university security and capability standards. However, iPads may not be available to all students who request one.
The DISCOVERe Hub, located on the first floor of the Fresno State Library, will continue to serve as a resource for student academic technology support. Our goal remains the same: to help students access and use technology in ways that support their learning, engagement and academic success.
