New JCAST librarian
The Fresno State Library welcomes Kat Koziar as the librarian for the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology! Kat is an experienced librarian, data scientist and educator who comes to us from UC Riverside. Students, faculty and staff in the Jordan College can feel free to contact Kat with any library-related questions.
New Arne Nixon Center curator
The Library also welcomes the new curator for the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature. Karina Cardenas began in the center on July 22. Karina received her MLIS from San Jose State University and began her career in our own Special Collections and Research Center. Most recently, Karina worked in Special Collections at CSU Los Angeles, developing her expertise in archives and unique collections. She is also bilingual, and her portfolio is full of examples of working in the community to build collections, donor relations and events. She will bring the enthusiasm and passion to create new and exciting programs in the center. For tours or class visits, contact Karina at karina@mail.fresnostate.edu.
New teacher resource center librarian
The Library’s Teacher Resource Center has a new librarian. Taylor Petersen transferred to the Teacher Resource Center from the Arne Nixon Center where she served as the collections and budget specialist. She previously worked in the Teacher Resource Center and in Access Services while completing her MLIS from San Jose State University.
