Join a series of energizing physical activity classes this fall, designed to boost your health, enhance your well-being and bring balance to your work life. Participating in these sessions offers personal benefits like improved fitness, flexibility and stress relief, while also enhancing focus, productivity and morale in the workplace. Check out the schedule for the upcoming semester below.
Session 1: H.I.I.T (Aug. 20 - Sept. 26)
● Time: 12:10 - 12:50 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday
● Location: South Gym 133
● Description: High-intensity interval training (HIIT) with quick aerobic bursts to elevate your heart rate. Expect a mix of fun exercises, followed by rest, stretching and hydration, with intensity building throughout the sessions.
Session 2: Pilates (Oct. 1 - Oct. 31)
● Time: 12:10 - 12:50 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday
● Location: South Gym 133
● Description: Strengthen your core, improve flexibility and enhance your posture with Pilates. This workout focuses on abdominal, hip and back muscles, using proper breathing techniques to boost body awareness and overall fitness. Don’t forget to bring your own mat or reserve one in advance.
Session 3: Body-Mind Balance (Nov. 5 - Dec. 12)
● Time: 12:10 - 12:50 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday
● Location: South Gym 133
● Description: Experience the harmony of yoga and mindfulness in Body-Mind Balance. This class connects your body, mind and spirit, focusing on spinal alignment and fluid movements to improve balance, flexibility and overall well-being. Remember to bring your mat or reserve one early.
All ability levels are welcome. The instructor will check in during every session and provide guidance on how to modify movements to accommodate everyone. We encourage all campus employees to participate and discover the personal and professional benefits of staying active. Your body and mind will thank you!
