Please join your colleagues from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Save Mart Center where we will usher in the upcoming semester during our 2021 Fall Faculty and Staff Assembly.
President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval will welcome the Fresno State community back to campus in-person for the opening of our 110th academic year. The assembly will also be accessible by webinar.
As part of his fall address, President Jiménez-Sandoval will discuss his vision for Fresno State, reflect on lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrate the contributions of select colleagues across campus who exemplify our University culture of excellence.
Additionally, Professor Raymond Hall, chair of the Academic Senate, and Belinda Munoz, chair of the Staff Assembly, will share their thoughts. Members of the President’s Cabinet will join him following his address for a question-and-answer session, moderated by Professor Betsy Hays. You may ask questions in-person or submit them using the Q&A function in the webinar.
Consistent with ongoing campus requirements and state and local public health guidelines, face coverings are required to be worn indoors, and the Daily Health Screening Questionnaire should be completed in advance of coming to campus.
Doors will open at 7:45 a.m. to allow time to socialize and enjoy pastries and fruit offered grab-and-go style. Please practice social distancing when eating or drinking.
Persons with disabilities who anticipate needing accommodations, or who have questions, may call 559.278.7137 in advance of this event.
