New Library Proxy Server: Update Canvas links this year
If you use library links in your Canvas modules, update URLs as we have a new library server (that drops the “HML” moniker). New library server: “access.library.fresnostate.edu. The Library has implemented redirects to ensure that the old proxy links work this year. However, we are encouraging everyone to update their links within this academic year. We appreciate your assistance in raising awareness among faculty who utilize these links.
Action Requested:
Update links from this
hmlproxy.lib.csufresno.edu/login?url=[resource_url_here]hmlproxy.lib.csufresno.edu/login?url=%5Bresource_url_here%5D
to this
https://login.access.library.fresnostate.edu/login?url=[resource_url_here]
If you or a colleague need help with updating links, reach out to eResources librarian, Dolly Lopez, balopez@csufresno.edu.
“Bulldog Hours” begin the first day of classes
Starting this fall semester, the library will close to the public at 8 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. After 8 p.m., only Fresno State students, faculty, and staff with a valid Bulldog ID card will be allowed to enter the library. This policy is in place to help enhance safety, reduce distractions, and ensure a secure, peaceful study environment for our Fresno State community. Check Fresno State Library News for the FAQ and to find out why this change matters.
The Library now offers full and free access to The Wall Street Journal and its academic resources.
A new partnership with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) through its Higher Education Program—providing free, unlimited digital access to all current students, faculty, and staff – begins this fall. The subscriptions also include student and faculty curricular resources and career and academic support. We encourage everyone to register and spread the word to students, as we may extend access beyond the initial two-year period if 20% of Fresno State students sign up. To register, visit the library’s WSJ Research Guide and log in using your Fresno State credentials to activate your access. For more information, go to Fresno State Library News.
