Works Above and Beyond
Madison Frisby, Student, Alumni and Friends Engagement
Over the past year, Madi has become an indispensable part of our team. She approaches every task with initiative, care, and accountability, consistently meeting deadlines and following through with strong attention to detail. As we closed out our fiscal year and prepared for our first audit together, Madi’s organization and proactive mindset were instrumental in ensuring we stayed on track. Her growth in just one year has been remarkable, and I feel confident stepping away for two weeks knowing the office will continue to run smoothly with her support. She’s reliable, team-oriented, and brings a steady presence to our fast-paced environment. Madi’s professionalism, adaptability, and drive make her a very valuable asset, and I am grateful to have her in our team. Madi, I’m extremely proud of your growth!
Hernan Maldonado, Lyles College of Engineering
I would like to recognize Hernan for going above and beyond by providing a full week of hands-on STEM activities for our Summer Residential STEAM Educational Talent Search TRIO high school students for the fourth consecutive year. His passion for engineering, from aerospace to civil and mechanical, was evident and inspiring. Hernan made STEM engaging and accessible, helping our students see themselves as future engineers. Thank you, Hernan, for going the extra mile to inspire and empower our students!
Myrna Pacheco, Student Health and Counseling Center
Thank you for your exceptional leadership demonstrated while coordinating a motivating and productive retreat for the Staff Assembly committee members. Your efforts to focus each of the subcommittees on their respective planning efforts for the coming academic year and encouraging us to get to know each other better will set all of us up for success!
Mark Rodriguez, Student Affairs
Mark has been an outstanding addition to the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. His diligence and commitment to his work, combined with his genuine care, truly stand out. Mark, your dedication does not go unnoticed. We see your effort and deeply appreciate all the energy, thought, and heart you pour into everything you do. Thank you for showing up with excellence, day after day. We are so grateful to you.
Rose Vang, Literacy Early Bilingual and Special Education
The department wishes to publicly thank Rose for her willingness to put in additional time and effort on certain departmental tasks to achieve effective departmental results.
Teira Wilson, Technology Services
Teira did a fantastic job making our WSCUC Self-Study and all the supporting documents accessible, providing high-quality work under tremendous deadline pressure. The job required a lot of collaboration, and it was a pleasure working with her.
University Marketing and Communications
Lauren Nickerson, Ashley Ilic, and Todd Graves did an outstanding job of taking the Word document draft of our Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WSCUC) self-study and turning it into a visually compelling presentation of why our university is the Flagship of the Central Valley.
