Free public summit hosted by The California Water Institute:
FUNDING WATER INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY
10 a.m. – noon, Aug. 11-13
$7 billion per year. That’s how much the San Joaquin Valley stands to lose in lost agricultural production due to water supply risk factors, such as:
- Aged, worn and deteriorated infrastructure
- Implementation requirements of new legislation
- Forecasted impacts of climate change conditions
A one-time cost to repair, expand and modernize the water system infrastructure in the Valley is also estimated at $7 billion, which emphasizes the need to identify a financing strategy to make strategic capital investments in water infrastructure to reduce the economic losses in the agricultural sector.
Join CWI at this free, virtual and public event to hear from leading experts on what strategies are available to finance capital investments in water infrastructure to reduce the economic losses in the agricultural sector.
