Water Book Club

The Water Cohort and the California Water Institute are proud to announce the spring edition of the water book club. The book club will be reading "Chasing Water: A Guide for Moving from Scarcity to Sustainability" by Brian Richter. The book club is open to all faculty, students and staff at Fresno State that want to learn more about water in a very casual way. Undocumented Student Ally Training

Part 2 of Undocu-Ally Training. Undocumented students in the American higher education system face unique and far more daunting obstacles than their U.S. citizen classmates (Cervantes, Minero & Brito, 2015). Fresno State serves many undocumented students but their educational journey towards earning a college degree is paved with many challenges. Yet this student population exhibits resilience and determination to reach their educational and career goals. Undocu-Ally training will help us increase our knowledge and effectiveness to serve undocumented students at Fresno State. This is PART 2 of Undocu-Ally training. To receive ally training certification, participants must attend PART 1 and PART 2.
Safe Zone Workshop: Becoming an Ally

Safe Zones at Fresno State are individuals or spaces that are safe, open, and welcoming to members of the LGBTQ+ community. Workshop attendees will:
- Gain knowledge about the LGBTQ+ community, its struggles and its history
- Gain an understanding of the experiences that LGBTQ+ individuals face
- Learn skills to help support LGBTQ+ students, faculty and staff learn, thrive and grow at Fresno State
Safe Zone members receive a badge that identify them as advocates for the LGBTQ+ community. To become a member, you must attend this Safe Zone introduction training, offered several times each academic year, along with two approved LGBTQ+ campus events. Membership must be renewed each year by attendance of events.
Concur Travel and Expense Training

The Concur Expense module is getting a makeover! In this workshop, we will take a look at the new product and see how employees will complete their expense reports. Employees will also learn in a hands-on lab environment about Concur Profile Settings, how to assign an expense delegate, how to create a request for preapproval of travel and how to create an expense report for reimbursement.

QPR Suicide Prevention Training

Learn to recognize and respond to the warning signs of suicide. In this training you will learn: common misconceptions about suicide, warning signs and risk factors, how to talk to, persuade and refer a person to appropriate campus and community resources. All attendees will receive a certificate for participation, two-three weeks following training completion.
