The Explore, Engage & Lead Lunch and Learn series continues with a timely and engaging session focused on navigating burnout and reconnecting with purpose in today’s demanding work environments.
Burnout is often seen as something individuals need to “push through,” but research shows it is deeply connected to misalignment between purpose, expectations and self-worth. In this interactive session, Dr. Gitima Sharma, professor of counseling, will share practical insights and reflection activities to help participants better understand the root causes of burnout and explore ways to build more sustainable well-being at work and beyond.
Drawing from humanistic principles and her research-informed SPARK Method, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their personal and professional purpose, strengthen self-worth beyond productivity and learn ways to foster supportive, caring environments in their day-to-day roles.
Join us from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22
Lunch will be provided.
This event is open to all faculty and staff and is part of the Explore, Engage & Lead series, designed to help the campus community connect, grow and discover practical tools that support both personal well-being and professional success.
