All are invited to attend the 2026 Womack Lecture, featuring award-winning legal scholar Dr. Ifeoma Ajunwa, from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at the Fresno State Library.
In her talk, “The Quantified Worker,” Ajunwa will explore how artificial intelligence, data mining and privacy issues are reshaping the modern workplace and what these changes mean for workers. Ajunwa is the Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Law at Emory University and a leading voice on AI, labor and ethics.
In addition, the Library will host its inaugural Womack Webinar from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 14, titled “Critical Cataloging & Librarianship Today: Ethics, Power, and Possibility.” This virtual panel will feature four nationally recognized librarian leaders discussing how cataloging and librarianship intersect with social justice and ethics and why this work is especially important in today’s higher education landscape. The webinar will be recorded and registrants will receive access to the recording.
Both events are free and open to the public. All are encouraged to attend and engage in these timely conversations.
