The Catered Cupboard, which allows student to benefit from catered campus events, invites departments to participate in the program.
As a part of the Food Security Project, the Catered Cupboard encourages you to share leftover food with students at the conclusion of your catered event. Should you have leftover food, please contact 559.278.FOOD (3663) and let them know where food is available and what time students can come in, maximum 20 minute window. A push notification will be sent to students letting them know where to go. We encourage you to stay after the event to welcome students into the room and enjoy the food in the space in which it is being served; no food can be taken from the event. The Catered Cupboard is available Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, please visit www.fresnostate.edu/foodsecurity.
Here's how it works...
- Departments host a catered event and have food leftover.
- They call 278-FOOD and report date, time and location of food.
- The Help Desk receives the call and posts the information in the app as well as pushes out the notification.
- Students receive the notification and have to log in with their user name and password to see the location and time.
- Students go to the location. Departments greet them and they enjoy food in that space.
- After the time is up, Help Desk removes the information from the app.
