Auxiliary Services has entered into a unique partnership with Follett Higher Education to operate the Kennel Bookstore, including a new second location at Campus Pointe.
Beginning April 15, Follett will be providing management services, which will allow us to enhance the level of service and support to our campus community.
As the landscape of traditional college bookstores has changed rapidly over the last decade, Follett has established itself as the leader in this industry. We are fortunate to have Follett as a partner as its vast retail and operational knowledge and depth of internal resources will allow us to grow and expand the merchandising options offered by our beloved campus store.
Follett will provide an on-site manager who will oversee the daily operations, but all of our Kennel Bookstore colleagues will still remain Association employees and the Association will still retain ultimate control of the operation of the Kennel Bookstore.
Many thanks to the Kennel Bookstore team for their assistance during this process and their diligence and commitment to a smooth transition so as to minimize any inconvenience for our campus community.
For those campus departments that have existing open purchase orders with Kennel Bookstore, you will need to work with the University Procurement or the Foundation to transition those purchase orders from the Kennel Bookstore to Follett Higher Education Group. Any remaining balances on your existing purchase orders will be transferred to the new purchase order with Follett.
