Dr. Brad Hufft, 59, professor in the Music Department, was found deceased inside his vehicle on April 13 near an embankment on Werney Road, north of Road 415 near Coarsegold. The cause of the traffic accident is under investigation. Dr. Hufft joined the Fresno State faculty in 2004 and was one of the lead developers of Fresno State’s online jazz and rock course.

"I had the singular honor of meeting Brad, and he indeed was a special and kind person — dedicated to his students and art,” said Dr. Saúl Jimenez-Sandval, dean of the College of Arts and Humanities. “His legacy will live on in the countless students he touched with his love of music, and in his distinct way of interpreting human emotions and the meaning of life through his own musical compositions."
