Effective May 21, Dr. Robert M. Harper will serve as interim provost.

Dr. Harper’s appointment will provide a smooth transition of academic leadership from Dr. Lynnette Zelezny, who departs campus at the end of May to assume leadership as president of California State University, Bakersfield.

Dr. Harper joined Fresno State in 1990 as an accounting professor and has served in several administrative positions, including department chair and, ultimately, as dean of the Craig School of Business since 2009.

We are fortunate to benefit from Dr. Harper’s leadership until a permanent provost is appointed. A national search will be launched in fall 2018.
