Fresno State’s Portuguese Beyond Borders Institute will host “The fright of a so-called ‘Carnation Revolution’” at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Henry Madden Library (Room 2206).
Guest speaker Álamo Oliveira, a Portuguese poet and writer from the Azores, will speak about the Carnation Revolution that changed Portugal and the Azores from an artistic perspective. The presentation will be in Portuguese with English translation via slides.
Musical entertainment will be provided by local Portuguese-American artists.
The event is free and open to the public. Parking is $4 in lots P27 or P20. This event is sponsored by City of Angra do Heroísmo, Mayor Álamo Meneses.
