Crucial Conversations
10 a.m. Tuesday, April 20
Crucial Conversations gives people the skills to step into disagreement rather than over it or around it through respectful dialogue. This 4-hour overview session will provide in introduction to the Crucial Conversations model and how you can practice some of the basic skills the next time you are having a high stakes conversation.
*Please note this is not the Crucial Conversations session. The purpose of this session is to introduce learners to the model and provide some quick tips to consider when having a difficult conversation.
Work Life Integration
1 p.m. Tuesday, April 20
As the pace of our workday becomes more hectic and the demands on our time at home increase, the ability to balance our various daily responsibilities becomes ever more important. This session will help attendees create a compelling vision of what work/life balance means to them. In addition, the course will allow attendees to assess their own balance and provides concrete strategies to maximize their time at home and the office.
Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:
• Create a unique definition and understanding of Work/Life Integration, incorporating each participant’s unique values and “big rocks”
• Identify common daily challenges and tools to overcome them
• Cultivate strategies for improving productivity and fulfillment, both at home and work
CSU Collaboration Trainings
Fresno State is participating in a CSU cross-campus professional development collaboration program which allows Fresno State employees to participate in select workshops offered by other CSU campuses. Space is limited and registration closes 48 priors to the session. The facilitator will send the Zoom link before the class begins.
